This was a cool project. Let’s face it, who doesn’t want to work on a Star Wars project? We had loads of great assets to use for this and it really was a pleasure to work on. Lots of different banners incorporating force lightning on stormtroopers, displacement map effects and rich video to top it off.

ETQW – marketing campaign
Monday, September 21st, 2009This was a complicated campaign which used lots of different special effects and some pretty carousel animations to show off all the weapons. You can see one of the tests I did for the weapons page by clicking here. It was a very successful campaign and the client was very happy.

Guitar Hero – marketing campaign
Thursday, September 17th, 2009I worked on this campaign from the very beginning. I was invoved in the ideas creation, through to building and animating a wide range of rich mutimedia banners. The sheer variety of banners made this a tough campaign. The banner seen here is a small one I did for google. Unfortunately due to nature of banners the rich versions are no longer available to view due to them being held on a special ad serving system.

Call of Duty – World at War
Thursday, September 17th, 2009Great campaign to work on, especially as I am a massive fan of the series. The biggest effect in these banners was the flame thrower and hole burning part. The flames were created by an external agency and we took those video files and put them into Flash. I wish it was as easy as I just made it sound. A lot of AfterEffects works was needed to get the effect into something useable in Flash. Not to mention fitting that effect in lots of different size and aspect ratios was a big job.
